Eden Valley ·

Our History
Located in the lush green Eden Valley, our farm has been turning grass into nutritious milk for over 55 years. Our milk is collected daily by a local dairy, pasteurised and then distributed as liquid milk and cream to shops, cafes and manufacturing. We are proud to supply milk 365 days a year.
We are committed to providing affordable healthy food to an ever growing UK population in the most sustainable pathway for our farm. In order to do that we grow as much grass as possible. We use a number of techniques to maximise grass growth including applying organic manures, clovers, crop rotations, sheep wintering, frequent reseeding and regular mowing.

"Look after the cow and the cow will look after you"
Our milking herd is primarily made up of pedigree Holstein Friesians (BRIDGE END prefix) together with Scandinavian, Montbeliarde and Dairy Shorthorn crosses.
Several years ago we decided to opt for a closed herd policy where all cattle including breeding bulls are born on the farm. During the wetter winter months some of our heifers are reared locally (5 mile radius) by trusted farmers in secure housing away from other herds. We are dedicated to
bio-security and excellent herd health.
Our
People
None of this would be possible without people!
Whether it be employees with 15+ years service, apprentices, self employed milkers, machinery contractors, vets, hauliers, advisors, we are very grateful for everyone’s commitment to caring for our animals and land so that we can continue to PRODUCE BRITISH FOOD.
